Ex-Controller Sues Gristede's For Wrongful Termination

Law360, New York (February 7, 2011, 1:44 PM EST) -- A former Gristede's Foods Inc. controller who was sentenced to two years of probation for tax evasion has accused the grocery chain of illegally firing him when he cried foul on the company's own tax evasion scheme.

Joseph Grande filed the lawsuit Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, saying Gristede's fired him in violation of New York's whistleblower statute.
