Google In Talks To End EU Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (February 7, 2011, 6:22 PM EST) -- Google Inc. is reportedly in negotiations to resolve a European Union antitrust probe into allegations that the company unfairly promotes its own services in search results over those of competitors.

Citing an anonymous source familiar with the case, Reuters reported Monday that the search giant had engaged in tentative discussions with the European Commission about settling the case, although no concrete proposals had been put forth.
