Jury Invalidates Patents In Milliken Suit Vs. Interface, Mohawk

Law360 (September 23, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal jury in South Carolina has found two patents at the center of a lawsuit filed by textile and chemical manufacturing company Milliken & Company invalid, handing a victory to defendants Interface, Inc. and Mohawk Carpet Corp.

A third defendant, Shaw Industries Group, had settled a similar lawsuit shortly before the case went to trial, according to Interface’s counsel, Kilpatrick Stockton.
