Koch Foods Workers Win Cert. In FLSA Action

Law360 (February 8, 2011, 2:10 PM EST) -- A federal judge has conditionally certified a class of chicken processing plant workers who claim Koch Foods of Cincinnati LLC refused to pay them for work done off the clock and denied them meal breaks.

Judge Michael Barrett of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio granted the plaintiff's motion for conditional class certification on Monday in a suit that alleges violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and Ohio labor laws.
