Scientist Convicted Of Selling Dow Secrets To China

Law360, New York (February 7, 2011, 7:31 PM EST) -- A federal jury in Louisiana has convicted a former research scientist for Dow Chemical Co. of selling rubber-making secrets to companies in China and lying under oath, according to U.S. attorneys.

After a three-week jury trial in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, Wen Chyu Liu, also known as David W. Liou, 74, of Houston was found guilty of one count of conspiracy to commit trade secret theft and one count of perjury.
