Ironshore Seeks To Toss $60M Hurricane Damage Suit

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 2:01 PM EST) -- Ironshore Insurance Ltd. wants Maritech Resources Inc.'s $60 million suit against the insurer tossed in favor of arbitration in a coverage dispute over oil and gas properties damaged during the 2008 hurricane season.

Bermuda-based Ironshore asked the court to remove Maritech's suit from Texas state court to federal court and then, after a proper hearing or other consideration, dismiss it in favor of arbitration in London, according to a notice filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
