Greyhound Beats Damages Claims In NY Crash Suit

Law360 (February 8, 2011, 6:17 PM EST) -- A federal judge has dismissed claims for putative damages against Greyhound Lines Inc. in a suit stemming from a fatal August 2006 bus crash allegedly caused by a speeding driver and defective tires.

In a one-sentence order filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge George B. Daniels granted Greyhound's motion to dismiss the claims for punitive damages.
