Houston Gas Trader Cops To $8M Fraud

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 2:50 PM EST) -- A former gas trader from Houston has pled guilty to bilking some of the world's largest energy companies out of $7.9 million worth of natural gas.

Stephanie Roqumore, 48, copped to two counts of wire fraud Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. She faces up to 40 years in prison, but as part of a plea agreement prosecutors will recommend a lighter sentence.
