Bosch, SGL Carbon Settle Longtime Graphite Cartel Suit

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 1:27 PM EST) -- Robert Bosch GmbH has settled a case in which it accused SGL Carbon SE of participating in a price-fixing cartel discovered more than a decade ago that boosted prices for graphite products.

According to an order signed Monday by Justice Gerald Barling of the U.K. Competition Appeal Tribunal in London, Bosch, the world's largest auto parts maker, reached a confidential settlement with SGL Carbon on Jan. 14.

Each party will pay its own litigation costs, according to the order.
