WaMu Files New Ch. 11 Plan With Judge's Suggestions

Law360, New York (February 8, 2011, 5:27 PM EST) -- Washington Mutual Inc. filed an amended Chapter 11 reorganization plan Tuesday that incorporates modifications suggested by a bankruptcy judge and paves the way for the resolution of the largest bank collapse in U.S. history.

The plan, filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, attempts to address the concerns Judge Mary F. Walrath expressed over certain release provisions in her Jan. 7 opinion denying the original plan's confirmation.
