GAO Nixes $8M Wash. Wastewater Contract Protest

Law360, New York (February 9, 2011, 6:15 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied a protest over a contract for a Washington wastewater management system, saying that the U.S. Department of the Interior was justified in choosing a higher-priced proposal from a more experienced bidder.

Bulltrack-Watts II, Joint Venture, of Bremerton, Wash., had contested the award of a contract to Larkor-MZT Team II of Homedale, Idaho, saying that the DOI acted unreasonably when it chose Larkor's $8.2 million proposal, according to the GAO's Dec. 13 decision, made public Tuesday.
