DeLay Says Juror Was Biased, Seeks New Trial

Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 2:39 PM EST) -- Former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas, has requested a new trial, citing misconduct from one of the jurors who convicted him of money laundering in an alleged scheme to divert funds to Republican candidates in 2002.

DeLay said in his motion for a new trial, filed Wednesday in Texas' Travis County District Court, that one of the jurors accused two fellow jurors of accepting bribes from the defense and told them that she would not consider any of the trial testimony.
