JetBlue OK To Fire Flight Attendant: 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 4:22 PM EST) -- The Second Circuit on Thursday affirmed JetBlue Airways Corp.'s win over a former flight attendant who alleged the airline fired her for union-organizing activities and not, as the company claimed, for swearing at an unruly passenger.

Ex-employee Mala Amarsingh did not establish a connection between her organizing efforts and the airline's decision to send her packing, a three-judge panel in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit ruled, affirming summary judgment for JetBlue.
