Adams Sues Supplier Over Salmonella-Tainted Pepper

Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 4:05 PM EST) -- Adams Extract & Spice LLC has slapped supplier Van de Vries Spice Corp. with a product liability and breach of contract suit over 11,000 pounds of red pepper grounds contaminated with salmonella.

Adams Extract filed a complaint Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, claiming that Van de Vries' actions forced a product recall that affected the company's business in several states.
