Bankrupt Electronics Co. Sued Over Employee Firings

Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 7:23 PM EST) -- A former Ultimate Acquisition Partners LP employee launched a putative class action Thursday accusing the defunct company of failing to provide its workers with the required 60 days notice prior to their termination.

Plaintiff Brenda Goentzel claimed in a class action adversary complaint filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware that the debtor's mass layoff of approximately 170 employees between Jan. 3 and Feb. 7 without 60 days notice violates the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.
