Ex-Hill Aide Convicted Over World Series Trip Gift

Law360, New York (February 10, 2011, 8:08 PM EST) -- A federal jury reportedly handed down a guilty verdict Thursday to a former congressional aide who accepted a World Series trip from a lobbyist, in one of the final cases of the corruption probe tied to Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Fraser Verrusio was found guilty in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia of charges of conspiracy, accepting an illegal gratuity and making a false statement by failing to disclose the trip, according to the Associated Press.
