Judge Adjourns Injunction Hearing In Neurontin Case

Law360, New York (September 26, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The judge presiding over Pfizer’s lawsuit against generics maker Alpharma Inc. over patent rights to the epilepsy drug Neurontin has adjourned a preliminary-injunction hearing until Monday morning.

The companies are arguing the injunction before Judge John C. Lifland of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.

"The court indicated that it would be preferable to maintain the status quo, i.e., no generics, though the judge said he would not further any injunctive relief at this time," CIBC World Markets analyst Elliot Wilbur wrote...
