ITC Votes To Lift Duties On Russian Magnesium

Law360, New York (February 11, 2011, 6:37 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has voted to lift an anti-dumping duty order on Russian magnesium imports, but kept duties in place for magnesium products imported from China.

The ITC decided Thursday that Russia's magnesium exports to the U.S. would no longer harm domestic magnesium producers. But the agency decided that low-cost magnesium from China would continue to hurt the U.S. industry if the anti-dumping order were lifted.
