Power Co. Makes Case To Jump Into Calif. Enviro Suit

Law360, New York (February 14, 2011, 6:02 PM EST) -- San Diego Gas & Electric Co. has said it obtained all necessary approvals for a major transmission line project in looking to join a lawsuit alleging federal regulators rubber-stamped the plan without properly reviewing the environmental repercussions.

The power company urged Judge Michael M. Anello of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California for permission to intervene on Wednesday, noting that it was a major stakeholder in the 120-mile Sunrise project, which it invested $613 million.
