Trustee Appoints Second Northwest Examiner

Law360 (April 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Having struck out with her first choice, a U.S. Trustee has appointed a substitute examiner to look at whether Northwest Airlines Corp. is worth more than it claims.

On Wednesday, U.S. Trustee Diana G. Adams appointed Richard Nevins, a former co-head of the restructuring group at Jeffries & Co. Inc., to serve as the examiner in the case. He was approved the same day by Judge Allan Gropper of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan.
