Subcontractor Sues Ashbritt Over Katrina Cleanup

Law360, New York (February 14, 2011, 6:36 PM EST) -- JGT Inc. has accused Ashbritt Inc. of breaching a subcontract of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contract for the removal and disposal of debris left in Mississippi in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

The subcontractor filed its complaint Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, claiming that Ashbritt owes an additional $1.9 million, as well as a $202,000 retainer, under the contract.
