Berkshire Hathaway Unit Hit With OT Action

Law360, New York (February 15, 2011, 12:34 PM EST) -- A former Helzberg's Diamond Shops Inc. hourly employee has launched a putative class action accusing the jewelry retailer — a Berkshire Hathaway Inc. subsidiary — of violating the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay proper overtime.

During the three-year statute of limitation period, the defendant has routinely denied hourly workers nationwide their due credit for all overtime hours worked, plaintiff Dequita Clark alleges in a complaint filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
