Thomas Cook, Co-Op Seek Quick Antitrust Review

Law360, New York (February 15, 2011, 3:34 PM EST) -- Thomas Cook Group PLC and Co-operative Group Ltd. have asked U.K. antitrust regulators to fast-track their review of the proposed merger between the two travel agencies.

In a statement, Thomas Cook said it expected the U.K. Office of Fair Trading to refer the case to the country's Competition Commission within the next three weeks. The Competition Commission review could take as long as six months.
