Gibson Dunn Reps Nordstrom In $180M Sample Site Buy

Law360, New York (February 18, 2011, 2:42 PM EST) -- Cash-flush Nordstrom Inc. says it will pay $180 million in stock to buy online fashion and accessories discounter HauteLook Inc. in a move the retailer says will expand its presence in the growing Internet sample sale market.

Nordstrom said Thursday the purchase, which includes a possible additional $90 million in stock incentives over three years, is part of its plan to implement "an enterprise-wide inventory management system." Nordstrom has nearly $1 billion worth of inventory.
