SEC Executive Director Returns To Private Sector

Law360 (February 18, 2011, 6:08 PM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday announced the departure of executive director Diego Ruiz — who led the agency's strategic planning and contracting activities — as well as the addition of an ex-corporate compliance officer to head its new whistleblower office.

SEC Executive Director Diego Tomas Ruiz said he intended to return to the private sector after more than four years at the commission.
