Gottschalks Settles Real Estate Row To Win Ch. 11 OK

Law360, New York (February 22, 2011, 9:02 PM EST) -- A federal judge has approved a plan to liquidate bankrupt retailer Gottschalks Inc. after the company resolved a long-running dispute with the part owner of its former headquarters.

Judge Kevin J. Carey of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on Friday signed off on the plan confirmation, which received overwhelming approval from creditors in March 2010 but had been delayed by a dispute between the retailer and real estate developer Lance-Kashian Co.
