Guggenheim Funds Seek $10M In Imposter Case

Law360, New York (February 23, 2011, 2:02 PM EST) -- Two financial firms with ties to the Guggenheim family are asking a New York court to impose more than $10 million in damages and fees on a group of alleged imposters accused of using the family’s name to commit investment fraud.

Guggenheim Capital LLC and Guggenheim Partners LLC on Tuesday filed a motion for an award of statutory damages and attorneys’ fees in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, where the funds launched their civil suit in November.
