High Court Won't Hear Morgan Lewis Malpractice Suit

Law360 (February 22, 2011, 7:02 PM EST) -- Landmark Screens LLC lost its bid Tuesday to convince the U.S. Supreme Court to consider whether a California state court has jurisdiction over its patent malpractice suit against Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP.

The Supreme Court denied Landmark's petition for writ of certiorari without comment, bringing an end to the company's state court litigation over whether the firm and one of its partners committed malpractice by allegedly concealing problems with one of Landmark's divisional patent applications for a light-emitting diode electronic billboard.
