Law360, New York (February 23, 2011, 3:46 PM EST) -- The U.S. government on Tuesday dropped its case accusing Zurich American Insurance Co. of failing to provide insurance for environmental remediation cost overruns at the Presidio, a former military base turned national park near San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge.
Judge Maxine Chesney of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California signed off on a joint stipulation by the government, Zurich and other parties to dismiss all claims in the matter with prejudice. Each party has agreed to cover its own costs.
