Seatholder Suit Over NYSE Merger To Proceed

Law360, New York (April 16, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A lawsuit filed against the president of the New York Stock Exchange by a former seatholder who claims she was misled about the status of the merger between the NYSE and Archipelago Holdings will head to court, after a state Supreme Court judge refused to throw the suit out.

New York State Supreme Court Judge Charles Ramos on Friday denied a motion by the NYSE to toss the $4.3 million suit filed against NYSE President John Thane by former seatholder Allison Wey.
