ITC Paves Way For Polyvinyl Alcohol Duties On Taiwan

Law360, New York (February 23, 2011, 6:49 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission determined Wednesday that Taiwanese polyvinyl alcohol imports — which the Department of Commerce previously concluded were being sold at less than fair value in the U.S. — materially injure the domestic industry.

In a 4-2 vote, the ITC found that Taiwanese PVA injures U.S. industry, and as a result Commerce will soon issue an anti-dumping duty order on imports of the product from Taiwan.
