Union Carbide Gets Partial Win In Insurance Suit

Law360 (February 23, 2011, 8:02 PM EST) -- New York's highest court has partially granted Union Carbide Corp.'s attempt to revive its summary judgment bid in a dispute over the limits of an excess liability insurance policy covering asbestos claims made against the company.

A two-month extension of coverage by one of the insurer defendants did not trigger a new limit for the policy, the New York State Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday.
