Medicines Co. Sues Mylan Over Generic Angiomax

Law360 (February 24, 2011, 2:32 PM EST) -- The Medicines Co. filed a patent infringement suit against Mylan Inc. in an Illinois federal court Wednesday in an effort to block the defendant's planned generic version of its anti-coagulant drug Angiomax.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, claims that Mylan's abbreviated new drug application infringes two of the patents for the drug, an injectable used to treat patients with unstable angina who are undergoing angioplasty.
