Canner Gets Last Chance To Fix Steel Antitrust Suit

Law360 (February 24, 2011, 3:20 PM EST) -- A California federal judge Wednesday gave Stanislaus Food Products Co. one final chance to amend its antitrust complaint alleging U.S. Steel Corp. and Posco American Steel Corp. fixed prices for steel sheets used to make cans.

Judge Lawrence J. O'Neill of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California granted the defendants' motion to dismiss Stanislaus' second amended complaint but allowed Stanislaus to replead. Judge O'Neill dismissed Stanislaus' first amended complaint in September but similarly let the company refile.
