DOC Climategate Report Clears NOAA Scientists

Law360, New York (February 24, 2011, 7:23 PM EST) -- An investigation into the Climategate e-mail scandal concluded that the correspondence did not provide any evidence that National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientists had manipulated climate change data, the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Commerce said Thursday.

In a review of 1,073 e-mail exchanges between climate scientists around the globe, DOC Inspector General Todd Zinser said he found only 10 that merited further investigation, according to a report dated Feb. 18 and released on Thursday.
