ITC To Probe Sharp-AUO LCD Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (February 24, 2011, 6:23 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission agreed Thursday to investigate Sharp Corp.'s claims that AU Optronics Corp. and a number of its customers have infringed its liquid crystal display patents.

The ITC voted to open a probe based on Sharp's Jan. 24 complaint targeting AU Optronics' LCD televisions, computer monitors and related products that the company's customers import and sell in the U.S.
