Fla. Atty Gets 4 Years For Stealing Client Funds

Law360, New York (February 25, 2011, 4:59 PM EST) -- A Fort Lauderdale, Fla., attorney was sentenced to four years in prison on Thursday and ordered to pay back about $4 million he stole from client trust funds and estates for real estate deals and other transactions.

Joseph P. Sindaco, 63, pled guilty Dec. 16 to one count of mail fraud, and faced a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on top of restitution, according to a plea agreement filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida....
