Supreme Court Seeks SG's View On Qui Tam Seals

Law360, New York (February 28, 2011, 12:14 PM EST) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday invited the U.S. solicitor general to weigh in on a challenge of the procedural requirement that False Claims Act qui tam complaints be filed under seal, a question that has divided the circuit courts.

The high court asked Acting Solicitor General Neal K. Katyal to file briefs expressing the U.S.' position in U.S. ex rel. Summers v. LHC Group Inc., on appeal from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
