Suit Accuses Howard Industries Of Hiring Bias

Law360, New York (February 28, 2011, 8:48 PM EST) -- A day after pleading guilty to concealing undocumented workers, Howard Industries Inc. was hit Friday in a Mississippi court with a class action alleging the company discriminated against non-Latino employees.

Four black women who were denied jobs at the company's Laurel, Miss., plant filed the suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, claiming that "non-Latino applicants were intentionally and routinely refused employment due to their race."
