ICU To Pay Attorneys' Fees To Alaris In Patent Case

Law360 (April 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday declared a long-running patent infringement suit between ICU Medical Inc. and Alaris Medical Systems Inc. exceptional and ordered ICU to pay Alaris part of its attorneys’ fees, costs and expenses.

Judge Mariana R. Pfaelzer of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California found that some of the claims asserted by ICU against Alaris throughout the course of the litigation were baseless and had been brought in bad faith.
