Doosan, Ingersoll-Rand Spar Over $31M Award

Law360 (March 1, 2011, 6:26 PM EST) -- Ingersoll-Rand Co. Ltd.'s demand for $31.8 million more from South Korea's Doosan Infracore Co. Ltd. on a $4.9 billion acquisition is premature, Doosan's attorney told a New York judge Tuesday.

The $31.8 million judgment by an accounting firm has been improperly "surgically carved" from the more than $90 million in outstanding disputes between the companies over the 2007 deal, all of which should be decided together, Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP's Robert Parker, who represents Doosan, told Judge O.
