Lawmakers Take Issue With Ch. 11 Executive Pay

Law360, New York (April 18, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- With the Democrats now in charge of Congress, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee is reportedly working on legislation that would curb executive compensation in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases.

At a Tuesday hearing of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Commercial and Administrative Law, Rep. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.) said his new bill would contain even more provisions than a bill he introduced in the last Congressional session, Dow Jones reported.
