Enviros To Sue Chicago Water District Over Pollution

Law360, New York (March 3, 2011, 6:08 PM EST) -- The Natural Resources Defense Council and two other environmental groups Tuesday told a Chicago-area water regulator that they plan to sue the agency in federal court over its alleged dumping of wastewater into regional waterways.

The NRDC, along with the Sierra Club and Prairie Rivers Network, served the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District with a letter offering a 60-day notice of their intent to file suit against the regulator over Clean Water Act violations.
