ITC To Probe Remote Control IP Claims

Law360 (March 4, 2011, 2:11 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission voted Thursday to investigate radio control hobby transmitters and receivers imported by two Chinese companies after Illinois-based Horizon Hobby Inc. lodged a complaint accusing them of predatory trademark and patent infringement.

Horizon Hobby's amended complaint, lodged Feb. 28 in the ITC, seeks orders blocking Koko Technology Ltd. and Cyclone Toy & Hobby, both based in Shenzhen, China, from importing devices typically used for radio-controlled cars or airplanes.
