O2 Micro Hit With Legal Fees In Converter IP Suit

Law360, New York (March 3, 2011, 8:18 PM EST) -- A California federal judge ruled Thursday that Monolithic Power Systems Inc. and Asustek Computer Inc. were entitled to attorneys' fees in a suit over power converter circuit technology due to defendant O2 Micro International Ltd.’s vexatious litigation strategy.

Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said in an order that O2 Micro had wasted the plaintiffs and the court's resources by suing MPS customers, which prompted MPS to file declaratory judgment actions.
