Judge Hands BEI Partial Win In $20M Coverage Suit

Law360, New York (March 4, 2011, 7:16 PM EST) -- A federal judge in California handed a partial victory Thursday to BEI Sensors & Systems Co. Inc., which sued Great American Insurance Co. for coverage of damage the manufacturer suffered when employees stole $20 million in gold.

Judge Saundra Brown Armstrong of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California denied Great American's motion for summary judgment, and granted in part and denied in part BEI's motion for summary judgment on five of Great American's affirmative defenses.
