Becton Asks Fed. Circ. To Chuck $5M Syringe IP Loss

Law360 (March 10, 2011, 5:56 PM EST) -- Becton Dickinson & Co. tried to convince the Federal Circuit on Monday to overturn a $5 million judgment awarded to Retractable Technologies Inc. in an infringement suit over three patents for retractable syringes.

The patents-in-suit arise in a “very crowded field of prior art,” Becton attorney William F. Lee told a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
