Mass. Bid-Rigging Defendant To Plead Guilty

Law360, New York (March 7, 2011, 11:45 PM EST) -- A former software company executive planned to plead guilty Tuesday in a case accusing former Massachusetts House Speaker Salvatare DiMasi of taking thousands of dollars in bribes in exchange for helping companies score multimillion-dollar government contracts.

Joseph P. Lally, a former area vice-president of sales for Cognos ULC, intended to change his plea to guilty on one count of conspiracy to commit fraud and extortion and seven counts of mail and wire fraud, and aiding and abetting, according to a plea agreement filed in the U.S....
