Tribune Offers Creditor Certainty In Ch. 11 Plan

Law360, New York (March 7, 2011, 8:45 PM EST) -- Tribune Co.’s two-year stay in bankruptcy reached its final phase on Monday with the media giant championing the certainty provided to creditors in its proposed reorganization plan over the “risky bet” inherent in a rival plan supported by noteholders.

Attorneys for both sides made their opening arguments in support of the dueling Chapter 11 plans as confirmation proceedings kicked off in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
