Philips Settles Wi-Fi Patent Suit Against Netgear

Law360, New York (March 8, 2011, 3:58 PM EST) -- A federal judge in Wisconsin approved a settlement Tuesday between U.S. Philips Corp. and Netgear Inc., ending a lengthy and contentious patent infringement suit over wireless data transmission technology.

Judge Barbara Crabb of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin signed off on the agreement without comment. Details on the settlement were not disclosed in court filings, and calls to both parties were not immediately returned Tuesday.
